ONE MORE DAY!! I seriously can't believe that this is almost done! I originally registered for classes looking to turn my life around and to find a new direction. All my hard work is finally paying off. I am so happy!!

I couldn't have done it without you girls!! Thank you for putting up with all my school complaints over these last 3 years!

You what?!

Mike and I have known each other for a while now. So you would think a piece of news like this would fly out hoping to score some tail or something.

Mike was in SEX IN THE CITY!! Say what? Its a very tiny non-speaking part. However still a milestone in his life if you ask me!

He is in Season 6, episode 1. When he was working for the NYSE years back (remember he's old-ha!), they asked for volunteers. He is standing on line when Carrie is going through the metal detectors heading to ring the bell.

Mike told me they needed to look angry and inpatient! I have not seen this yet!! I need to get myself a copy STAT!!

One of you gals has to have it??!!

I HAVE A HOME!!

So I went to go look at an apartment today in one of my current landlord's buildings and I LOVE IT!!

Its a one bedroom, with lots of windows, 3 closests, good living area. I even have a fancy marble (nonfunctioning) fireplace in my bedroom!

For those of you that have visited my current residence I can basically fit my whole apt into my new bedroom.

And I can actually fit all 7 of us in my apt!! Plus I'll only make you walk up 3 flights of stairs :)

I move in the first week of January!! YAY!

Mike said he would help me with the move :) So I think that might mean he will meet the fam but we'll address that craziness later-ha!

If you are wondering where to find me after December...why its on 54th St between 8th and 9th. I was getting sick of the Eastside so its a perfect change!! :)

Dane Cook date was amazing! We had a fancy dinner before the show that was just great! Conversation flowing, witty banter back and forth.

Mike: "You look great tonight. Dane Cook will be impressed."

Alexis: "He's not the one that I'm trying to impress."

Mike:"Score!"

.......ha! So much fun!

During Dane Cook we were cuddled up holding hands the whole time. Dane Cook's non stop sex jokes could have been awkard but we both just kept laughing. We had amazing seats....btw!!

So now....Mike called me up over this past weekend and after our hour long convo, he stumbled about and asked me if I wanted to do a Christmas Day in the city.

We are going ice skating in Central Park, to see the tree at Rockefeller Center, Xmas windows, and more! YAY! I'm so excited!

With finals here, the next free full day we both have is Friday, Dec 21. So I will have to hold on until then for our big special day. But I'm sure we will go out before then too!

I think we are up to date 6!! But who's counting??! :)

JANUARY 7

It's official!! I have a job!! YAY! I'm so excited. I'll be working for E*sner (*=i just to be safe :) They are a top 15 mid size firm here in NYC. They have been one of my top choices all along and actually my first all day interview that I went on. I really liked everyone I met and just felt I would fit in best here.

I'll be working in the Auditing department. Which basically means I go around to different clients with a team of staff and we look at the companies financial making sure that everything was done correctly...ie without fraud, etc. Then we issue an opinion on it. Working in Auditing is required for at least a year in order for me to sit for the CPA exam which is my intention. Also because they are a mid-size firm I will work in all different industries. One week I may be in real estate and the next financial services. It will be good exposure to me because I don't have any public accounting experience. Oh and I will probably be traveling a lot. I told them that I prefer not to be gone for longer than 3 weeks so we'll see how that goes.

I start January 7 which was a big deal with me because a lot of people were hiring for September.

What a crazy week!!!

APARTMENT

NO MAS

So it's official.....Katie and I are getting kicked out of our apt! I just got a call from the landlord saying they sold the building and to expect a letter in the mail. The letter will give us until Feb 1 to move out.

The owner of the building has other properties and can hook us up without broker fees. Which I totally plan on pursuing.

This kind of comes at a good time because I was planning on having a talk with Katie about how I want to live alone and now I can blame it on the landlord. I just told her that it makes the most sense for me to live alone now because I'm in NYC for the long haul, I can afford it now, etc. She seemed to understand and basically knew thats how I felt. So I hope this does not affect our friendship too badly.

I'm still kind of in shock but here we go again....Alexis changing her job and apartment at the same time-ha! But that's me and my crazy busy life :)

....and um no that is def not my apt pictured above....but maybe it's my new one??!!

Jobby job

Things are looking great on the job front! After my months of torturous interviewing, I have 2 official job offers to start in January-yippee!! I'm so excited!!

But don't worry I still have 2 more interviews to go on so I'm not officially accepting yet.

The important thing is that I'll be employed come January which is really freaking awesome!!! I can't believe this whole thing is almost done!!

For those that are counting I entered school back in Sept 2005----ahhhhh!!!

WITH A CAPITAL S.........

Oh man! I seriously can't get enough. We met up at Bowlmor in Union Square with a nice kiss on the cheek. I was soooo nervous. He was too-ha! We sit down to eat some burgers and beers and are just chatting it up. I was initially talking about neon lights (oh good lord) but he saved it by getting us back on track.

We talked and laughed so much that 2 hours was gone before you know it and he asked if I wanted to bowl. By the time we went to put our names on the list there was now a 40min wait....oops. Its ok we just head back to the table to order some more beer.

We get called to bowl and I've already warned him that I'm either really good or really bad. He says he hasn't bowled in a while. I get up, worried that my thong will be sticking out, bending over, doing awful, etc and wound up with a 2 in the first frame-crap! He goes and does well-damn! I change my ball have a couple more sips of beer and then I was on fire!! I bowled the best 3 games of my life! The last game I had 3 strikes and a spare all in a row. He was doing really well too but he was no 170. It was hysterical. We wagered on who was going to carry textbooks to class (like true cool accountants). I told him I just hate carrying textbooks. There was lots of touching and some high fives but it was still a little awkward.

After 4 hours there he asked if I wanted to walk down to Bleecker St. I linked arms with him while we were walking and then he takes my hand!! We are holding hands walking down the street, he is massaging my hand with his thumb!! I was seriously in heaven!!! We get to the Red Lion to hear a live band. We are cuddling, singing, chatting. Then in the middle of it all I just leaned over and kissed him. I couldn't take it anymore. So cute! So good!

We wind up staying there until 4am!! He takes me in a cab home and we end the night with more making out. It was just so perfect that I didn't want to bring him up. I didn't want to ruin anything.

And then to top it off....he calls me the next day to tell me what a great time he had!! Oh man! I haven't liked someone like this in a very long time!!!!!

He is smart, funny, normal, similar to me but different....AMAZING and exactly what I have been looking for...sigh :)
